Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and Aladdin AI ("Aladdin," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Aladdin AI platform, including the website at aladdin-ai.net, the Aladdin AI Chrome extension, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, installing the Chrome extension, or otherwise accessing the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

Aladdin AI is an AI-powered job application platform that provides the following tools and capabilities:

• Resume generation: AI-assisted creation of tailored resumes optimized for specific job postings and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
• Cover letter generation: AI-assisted creation of personalized cover letters aligned to specific roles and companies.
• Job matching: Analysis and scoring of job postings against your profile to identify best-fit opportunities.
• Chrome extension: A browser extension that provides in-page job analysis, application assistance, and document delivery directly on job listing websites.
• Application tracking: Tools to monitor the status and history of your job applications.

The Service may be updated, modified, or expanded at our discretion. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes that affect your use of the Service.

To access the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your account information up to date.
• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
• Notify us immediately at legal@aladdin-ai.net if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
• Maintain only one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or for any other purpose is prohibited and may result in termination of all associated accounts.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service or any connected third-party platforms in an unauthorized manner.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service beyond the functionality provided by the official Aladdin AI Chrome extension.
• Misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or experience in your profile or in any documents generated through the Service.
• Submit applications or communications that contain knowingly false or misleading information.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code or underlying algorithms of the Service.
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable local, state, national, or international law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, its servers, or connected networks.
• Share, resell, or redistribute access to the Service or any content generated by it for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Violation of this policy may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account without prior notice.

The Service uses artificial intelligence to assist in generating resumes, cover letters, job match analyses, and other application materials. You acknowledge and agree that:

• All documents produced by the Service are AI-assisted drafts, not final products. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying the accuracy and truthfulness of any content before submitting it to employers or other parties.
• AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, inaccuracies, or information that does not accurately reflect your qualifications. You must not submit any document that contains false claims about your experience, education, or skills.
• Aladdin AI implements anti-fabrication safeguards to reduce the risk of false content, but no automated system is infallible. The final responsibility for truthfulness rests with you.
• Job match scores, fit analyses, and recommendations are estimates based on available data and should not be interpreted as guarantees of employment outcomes.
• We do not guarantee that documents generated through the Service will pass any specific ATS system, produce interviews, or result in employment.

Your content: You retain full ownership of your personal data, profile information, and all documents generated through the Service using your data (resumes, cover letters, etc.). You grant Aladdin AI a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Our platform: Aladdin AI retains all rights, title, and interest in the Service itself, including but not limited to the platform, software, algorithms, machine learning models, user interface designs, documentation, and all related intellectual property. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of the platform or its technology to you.

Feedback: If you provide suggestions, feature requests, or other feedback about the Service, you grant us an unrestricted, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback into the Service without obligation to you.

Aggregated data: We may use anonymized, aggregated data derived from your use of the Service for analytics, research, and improvement of our platform. This data will not be individually identifiable.

Certain features of the Service are available through paid subscription plans. If you subscribe to a paid plan:

• Billing: Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan you select. You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for the applicable fees.
• Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
• Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will retain access to paid features until then.
• Refunds: We offer a 30-day refund window from the date of your initial purchase or most recent renewal. To request a refund, contact legal@aladdin-ai.net. Refunds beyond the 30-day window are at our sole discretion.
• Price changes: We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' advance notice. Price changes apply at the start of your next billing period after the notice period.
• Application packs: One-time credit purchases (application packs) are non-refundable once used. Unused credits do not expire.

Aladdin AI offers a free tier with the following usage limits:

• 200 resumes per calendar month.
• 200 cover letters per calendar month.

Usage limits reset at the beginning of each calendar month. When you reach your monthly limit, document generation will be paused until the next month. The Service may also be subject to rate limiting to ensure fair access for all users.

We reserve the right to modify free tier limits at any time. Material reductions to free tier allowances will be communicated with at least 14 days' advance notice.

The Aladdin AI Chrome extension is an optional component of the Service that enhances your experience on job listing websites. By installing and using the extension, you agree to the following:

• Permissions: The extension requests access to read and modify content on web pages you visit that contain job listings. It requires permissions for active tab access, storage, and communication with Aladdin AI servers. All permissions are used solely to provide the Service.
• Data collection: The extension extracts job listing data (job title, company, description, requirements) from pages you actively choose to analyze. It does not passively monitor or collect data from pages you visit without your explicit action.
• Authentication: The extension authenticates through the Aladdin AI web application. Authentication tokens are stored in Chrome's local encrypted storage and transmitted over HTTPS. No credentials are stored on our servers.
• Third-party sites: The extension interacts with third-party job listing platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, Workday). Your use of those platforms remains subject to their respective terms of service. Aladdin AI is not responsible for changes to third-party platforms that may affect extension functionality.
• Updates: The extension may be updated automatically through the Chrome Web Store. Material changes to extension permissions will be noted in the Chrome Web Store listing.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

• Aladdin AI is a tool that assists with job applications. We are not responsible for employment outcomes, including but not limited to whether you receive interviews, offers, or employment.
• The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
• In no event shall Aladdin AI, its directors, employees, partners, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Aladdin AI and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to:

• Your use of the Service.
• Your violation of these Terms.
• Any content you provide through the Service, including profile information and documents you submit to third parties.
• Any misrepresentation in documents you create, edit, or submit using the Service.
• Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.

By you: You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at legal@aladdin-ai.net or through your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

By us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, including for violation of these Terms. Where practicable, we will provide notice before termination, but we reserve the right to terminate immediately for serious violations.

Data deletion: Upon account termination, you may request deletion of your personal data by contacting us at legal@aladdin-ai.net. We will process data deletion requests within 30 days, subject to any legal obligations that require us to retain certain records.

Survival: Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and any other provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect after termination.

Informal resolution: Before initiating any formal dispute proceeding, you agree to first contact us at legal@aladdin-ai.net and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.

Binding arbitration: If informal resolution fails, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis; class actions and class arbitrations are not permitted.

Governing law: These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Exceptions: Either party may seek injunctive or equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for claims involving intellectual property infringement or unauthorized access to the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you through one or more of the following: an email to the address associated with your account, a prominent notice within the Service, or a banner on our website.

Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes your acceptance of those changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must discontinue use of the Service and may request account deletion.

The Service processes your data on servers located in the United States (AWS US-East-2, Ohio). If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission as our legal mechanism for international data transfers. You may request a copy of the applicable SCCs by contacting us at legal@aladdin-ai.net.

By using the Service, you consent to the transfer and processing of your data as described in this section and in our Privacy Policy.

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

The failure of Aladdin AI to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
