Job Data Notice
What Aladdin collects from public job posts, what it removes, and how to ask us to remove a job.

What Aladdin collects
Aladdin collects public job posts, so that people can find jobs that fit them. The posts come from three kinds of sources:
- the public job feeds of employers' own hiring systems, such as Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, Personio, Teamtailor and Recruitee;
- government job feeds: JobStream in Sweden, NAV in Norway and USAJOBS in the United States;
- a licensed job-data seller.
From each post, Aladdin keeps the job title, the company, the place, the text of the post and the link to apply. When the source gives them, it also keeps the date the job was posted, the pay, the type of job (for example, full time), the work style (remote, hybrid or on site) and the team.
When it reads employers' hiring systems, Aladdin's collector identifies itself as AladdinJobsBot. Its User-Agent starts with AladdinJobsBot/1.0. If you run a hiring site and do not want Aladdin to show its jobs, write to us (see below).
Contact details
Before Aladdin stores a post, it removes contact details:
- it leaves out the contact people that the source lists for the job, with their names, email addresses and phone numbers;
- it removes the email addresses and phone numbers that it finds in the text of the post.
A name that is written inside the text of a post, or a company name that is a person's own name, can stay. If your name is in a post, you can ask us to remove the post (see below).
How Aladdin uses a post
Aladdin shows a job to the people whose profile fits it. AI models help with this:
- Anthropic's Claude reads each post once, to find facts such as the place, the pay and the languages that the job asks for. Aladdin keeps these facts with the post.
- Google Gemini turns the post into numbers, so that Aladdin can find the jobs that are closest to a person's profile.
- TypeSafe's JEV model compares the post with a person's profile and gives a match %.
- OpenAI's GPT-6 Luna writes a few lines about why the job fits that person.
How long Aladdin shows and keeps a post
Aladdin matches a job with people only while the job is open and was posted (or, when the post has no date, first seen by Aladdin) in the last 14 days.
When the source closes the job, or stops listing it, Aladdin closes it too, and the job leaves Aladdin's job lists. Only people who already applied to it, or acted on it in another way, still see it in their own list.
Aladdin keeps its record of a closed job, but it does not match the job with anyone, unless the source lists the job again.
Ask us to remove a job
Employers, recruiters and people who are named in a post can ask us to remove a job. Write to privacy@aladdin-ai.net. Tell us the link to the job, or the name of the company or the hiring site.
We then turn off the jobs of that company, or of that hiring site, on Aladdin. A job that we turned off is not shown or matched again, even when its source lists it again. Only people who already acted on it still see it in their own list. We keep our record of a job that we turned off, so that it stays off.
You may also have rights under data-protection laws, such as the GDPR (the EU's data-protection law): for example, the right to see or delete the data about you. To use them, write to the same address. Our Privacy Policy says where we store data (Section 13) and that you can complain to a data-protection authority (Section 14).
